navybsn Riff-tastic! If this album doesn't make your bang your filthy goat head, you just don't love black metal. Favorite track: Rites of the Inner Shrine.

1.
In countless rows, a funeral procession Through colonnades of stone Doomed to walk this path forever On a journey towards the unknown Through gateways of dusk and lingering shades Possessed by the insatiable… Fire of hunger Fire of yearning To reach an end untold Ceaselessly striving Endlessly burning To heed the call of the void Woe to the cursed dead Enslaved in unbounded dread A dirge for the damned Beyond all salvation Beyond mortality Untouched by the hand Of divine exaltation Beyond reality They march on, through desolate landscapes In column towards no end Beneath the starless heavens They see endless night descend Through valleys of thorns and looming spires Consumed by incessant… Fire of hunger Fire of yearning To seal the sacred bond Ceaselessly striving Endlessly burning To reach the lands beyond A dirge for the damned Beyond all salvation Beyond mortality Untouched by the hand Of divine exaltation Beyond reality Woe to the cursed dead Enslaved in unbounded dread Condemned to walk forever Into the ceaseless never
2.
The burning incense fills the air as censers swing from withered hands Chanting long-forgotten hymns from beyond all mortal lands The chiming of unearthly bells from behind the veil of reality The call to summon those that dwell in phantasmal infinity Heed this call, grotesque beings of old Manifest as enchantments unfold Rites of the forgotten Rites of the unseen Rites that summon them to rise Those of the macabre Those of the obscene Rise! The gateway opens from the deep as foretold in prophecy The means to summon those that sleep in divine immortality From the altar drenched and wet with death ascends the end of humankind Whispered prayers under breath as the deities break their binds Claim this world, dreadful beings set free Animated by this dark liturgy When the moon is waning and the stars are hidden Then the hymns are chanted from the scrolls forbidden When the blood is streaming And the seals are broken Then the portal opens and the gods are woken Rituals of horror Rituals of doom Prophecies of godly rule You of endless malice You of endless gloom Rise!
3.
All men must step into the unknown realms below Where ebon shades lie heavy and the dark rivers flow To join the blighted souls of old, beyond the veil Descend into the darkness from where no light returns Cross the ethereal threshold As the corporeal burns All mortal aspirations as seeds in fertile soil may bud or blossom only to the scythe then fall Sed omnis una manet nox et calcanda semel via leti Ascend unearthly spectre to guide their path below To the cimmerian nightshade where all men must go Into the depths of that hungering abyss Stripped of all fleshly burdens upon that Stygian strand Purged of all former glories by death's disrobing hand The flames of hope and and longing are now extinguished The souls once bound in flesh have now been relinquished The dreams of celestial glories are now all vanquished Their haunted cries and whispers, reverberate so anguished Each creature beckoned into that lightless chasm Sed omnis una manet nox et calcanda semel via leti Now sound the bells of quittance from the abysmal shrine The cup has been drained, yet lingers a taste of bitter wine Descend into the darkness from where no light returns Cross the ethereal threshold As the corporeal finally burns
4.
The flames that pierced the morning sky with cleansing purity Carving out our destiny into obscurity In winding scarlet streams soaking the blackened earth All civilisation yields returned to ash and dirt In crackling bolts of thunder and blazing firestorms All flesh is torn asunder in howling gales of thorns Splendor reduced to ashes and crumbling palace walls Swept up, as in a rapture as mankind falls Behold the light that the morningstar has thrown All that remains are shadows etched in stone This dawn will see a final sunrise from whirling maelstroms born Wielding it’s phantom flame swallowing life with utter scorn A permeating darkness rests over the scorched remains All existence ceased and perished an eerie silence reigns Witness the flames of the brightest sun reborn All that remains is the dust of the forlorn Behold the light that the morningstar has thrown All that remains are shadows etched in stone
