lyrics
The flames that pierced the morning sky
with cleansing purity
Carving out our destiny
into obscurity
In winding scarlet streams
soaking the blackened earth
All civilisation yields
returned to ash and dirt
In crackling bolts of thunder
and blazing firestorms
All flesh is torn asunder
in howling gales of thorns
Splendor reduced to ashes
and crumbling palace walls
Swept up, as in a rapture
as mankind falls
Behold the light that the morningstar has thrown
All that remains are shadows etched in stone
This dawn will see a final sunrise
from whirling maelstroms born
Wielding it’s phantom flame
swallowing life with utter scorn
A permeating darkness rests
over the scorched remains
All existence ceased and perished
an eerie silence reigns
Witness the flames of the brightest sun reborn
All that remains is the dust of the forlorn
Behold the light that the morningstar has thrown
All that remains are shadows etched in stone

I'd say Havukruunu is the inheritor of Quorthon and Bathory. Male choirs, vikingesque themes and tales of Finnish paganism from the happier times before our ancestors were made to convert or die by sword of blooded cross. These songs bring a tear into my eye when I think my ancestors being forced to kneel in front of a murderer. Peikonmieli

Because it's a good album.
I hear Darkthrone is kind of decent, too.
I actually came here to buy the new Inquisition album...got this instead.
Contrary to popular monetary trends...

My introduction to the band was through this album. I was immediately blown away by how brutal (and beautiful) this bands style is. Reminiscent of the second wave black metal with its own spin, i cannot keep myself from looping this bands entire discography. Abyssius Murkraken
The Toronto death metallers expand their ferocious cosmos yet again with elements of prog, post-rock, and even jazz. Bandcamp Album of the Day Sep 25, 2023

Upon first listen i was captivated, such and addictive and pulse pounding sound. Black metal with almost Power/speed and melodic metal roots. Instant purchase! Abyssius Murkraken
